Jack’s Leap of Hope for Jade
Turning Grief Into Hope
On 7th August 2026, Jack Roberts took on one of the biggest challenges of his life a skydive in memory of his sister, Jade, on what would have been her 32nd birthday.
Jade tragically died by suicide, leaving behind a family and community who loved her deeply. Her loss changed Jack’s life forever, but rather than allowing that pain to remain silent, Jack has chosen to turn his grief into something positive raising awareness, starting conversations and helping prevent suicide.
For Jack, the skydive was about far more than jumping from a plane.
It was about Jade.
It was about remembering her life, celebrating her birthday and making sure that her story continues to help others.
A Leap for Suicide Prevention
Taking the leap was a powerful symbol of facing fear head-on.
Jack wanted to use the challenge to raise funds and awareness for The Jade Roberts Project, the organisation created in Jade’s memory to support people experiencing mental health difficulties and emotional distress and to promote suicide prevention.
Through the project, Jack and the team are working to create a place where people can talk openly, access support and, most importantly, feel that they are not alone.
The money raised through Jack’s skydive will help support the continued work of The Jade Roberts Project, helping us reach more people, provide support and deliver suicide prevention awareness and training within our community.
Keeping Jade’s Name Alive
Jade's life should be remembered for who she was — not simply how she died.
Every conversation we start, every person we support and every life we potentially help save is part of keeping Jade's memory alive.
Jack's skydive was his way of saying:
“Jade, we will never forget you. Your life matters, your story matters, and your legacy will continue to help others.”
The Jade Roberts Project is built from love, loss and a determination to make a difference.
Jack took the leap for Jade.
Now we continue the journey together — turning grief into hope, and hope into action.
